The Hiram College baseball team fell in a non-conference road game at No. 12-ranked Baldwin Wallace by a 9-2 score on Sunday afternoon.
The Terriers are now 8-25 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets are 27-8.
Junior Trevor Foster (Warren/Champion) went 2-for-4 to pace the Terrier offense.
BW opened the scoring with a 3-run second frame, but Hiram countered with a run in the third on a RBI double by senior Jeff Segal (West Bloomfield, Mich./North Farmington) that scored senior Jaren Bell (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton).
The Yellow Jackets would score two runs in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings to open up a 9-1 lead.
Hiram added another run in the ninth on a RBI single by Foster that scored Bell.
Senior Tanner Gilchrist (Ellwood City, Pa./Lincoln) struck out four batters in five innings of work, but suffered his first loss of the season.
Bell finished 1-for-2 with two runs scored in the contest.
Hiram will return to action with a single nine inning game on Tuesday at Westminster (Pa.) at 4 p.m. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
