Dr. Terri Coffee came to Hiram College in 2016, with 5 years of experience in nursing education. Past courses taught include medical-surgical nursing, community nursing, pharmacology, and health assessment. Her specialty areas are gerontological nursing and perioperative nursing. Dr. Coffee is a board certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and has prescriptive authority in Ohio. Her clinical experience includes positions as a medical-surgical nurse, operating room circulating nurse, and advance practice nurse at a correctional facility and a skilled nursing facility. Dr. Coffee is a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, Xi Xi Chapter. She volunteers for several animal charity groups.

Dr. Coffee’s research has involved implementing a noise-induced hearing loss education program in area middle schools. Her personal interests include addiction medicine and animal charities.
