Dr. Sarahbeth Abalos is the director of the nursing program and an assistant professor of nursing. She joined Hiram in 2022. Dr. Abalos has a background in critical care, hyberbaric, and school nursing. She holds the CNE and the CNEcl academic nurse educator board certifications. Before joining Hiram, she was the director of the nursing program at Thiel College. Dr. Abalos is a member of several professional associations and actively participates in community service.

Research Interests

Dr. Abalos’ research interests include Generation Z Registered Nurses, and how self-promotion and self-management strategies can improve overall health and wellbeing.

Dr. Abalos’ loves to spend time in Hilton Head South Carolina and reading true crime stories. She is married to Jay and has four children and a dog named Scooby Doo.
