As the Assistant Dean of Students, Mick is a member of the Dean of Students team providing leadership to the Office of Residential Education and Commuter Services. Additionally, Mick oversees student conduct and assessment initiatives for the Division of Student Affairs.
Prior to his time at Hiram, Mick most recently worked at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where he served as the Director of Student Engagement overseeing 110 student organizations, clubs sports, and local and national fraternity and sorority chapters, as well as leadership development initiatives. Prior to Kenyon, Mick served as the Housing Coordinator in the Office of Student Life at the Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio for nearly 8 years where he managed most aspects of the housing program and student conduct. Mick has also worked at Ashland University in Residence Life, Greek Life, and Community Service as a graduate assistant. Finally, Mick began his career in student affairs right here at Hiram where he served as a Resident Director of the Quad and assistant to the Office of Campus Involvement and First Year Experience/Orientation.
Fun Facts
Outside of campus, Mick enjoys the outdoors, traveling, digital photography and graphic design, is a self-proclaimed foodie (especially of cheese and tacos), and loves all things Cleveland.
