Mary Lang has been involved in grant writing and grants administration work for the past 15 years. In Portage County, she has held prior grants-related positions at Coleman Professional Service, NEOMED and Oberlin College. She has experience designing projects, budgeting and writing about a variety of topics related to small liberal arts colleges including museums, the performing arts, science and climate change and infrastructure support.

Lang has a doctorate degree in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction design, and she has lived throughout the United States in the south, west and Ohio. Prior to her current career, she worked as an educator for students from kindergarten through higher education, and she designed and started an ongoing charter school, serving as the executive director for many years and as a school design consultant for other schools.
