LaShon Sawyer, Ph. D., is the Executive Director of Adult & Online Programs. In this capacity, she is responsible for the development and delivery of online programs focused towards adult learners. In this position, LaShon utilizes nearly 25 years of program management, leadership and administration experience to maintain high standards for academic rigor for the College.
LaShon received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wright State University. She also holds a master’s degree in social science administration from Case Western Reserve University. She also completed her doctorate in criminal justice at Capella University. She was a 2015-2016 Ethics Table Fellow with the Beamer-Schneider Professorship in Ethics at CWRU. LaShon’s scholarly focuses are criminal justice re-entry policies and services and the addressing the digital divide for all.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, LaShon loves to spend time discovering new locally owned businesses while spending time with her teenage son and extended family.
