LaShon Sawyer, Ph. D., is the executive director of adult and online programs. In this capacity, she is responsible for the development and delivery of online programs focused towards adult learners. In this position, Sawyer utilizes nearly 25 years of program management, leadership and administration experience to maintain high standards for academic rigor for the College.
Sawyer received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wright State University. She also holds a master’s degree in social science administration from Case Western Reserve University and her doctorate in criminal justice from Capella University. She was a 2015-2016 Ethics Table Fellow with the Beamer-Schneider Professorship in Ethics at CWRU. Her scholarly focuses are criminal justice re-entry policies and services and the addressing the digital divide for all.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Sawyer loves to spend time discovering new locally owned businesses while spending time with her teenage son and extended family.
