Having lived and worked at the James H. Barrow Biological Field Station prior to his graduation in 1986, Jim Tolan jumped at the chance to return in 2011. Though the focus has shifted in that short 30 years, the connections still run deep. The place keeps him hopping just as it did long ago. He has a great team of co-workers to help get the job done, like his bunkhouse roommates of old, and he gets to work with students like he did back then. The difference is now he knows he is seeing them create memories that in 30 years they will return to and say, “One time, at the James H. Barrow Biological Field Station…”
- He enjoys motorcycles and antique cars.
