Experiential Learning

Experiential Learning Component

Internships, research experiences, and global understanding activities top the list of things employers say they most want from college graduates. At Hiram College, we make sure you get just that.

All Hiram College students complete an internship, research project, or study away experience as part of the Hiram Connect experiential requirement.

The best time to complete the experiential learning requirement is during your junior year or the beginning of your senior year – or during the summer in between. But it’s never too early to start, in case you want to try all three – as many Hiram students do.

But beyond just completing the requirement, we’ll help you make sense of it, as you talk and write about how this experience contributes to your thinking about your curriculum, career and calling, character, and community.
