Hiram is aware of the modifications to temporary exemptions for nonimmigrant students taking online classes for the fall 2020 semester, as recently announced by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. Our goal is to return to as much face-to-face instruction as possible this Fall, and as safely as possible. By using our Mid-Flex Model, the College has engineered a plan to bring students and faculty back to campus in a way that reduces density in educational spaces. With this approach, we are confident that we will be able to accommodate the needs of our international students this fall.
International students at Hiram College have a dedicated support services office on campus through the Office for International Student Services. Hiram’s International Student Advisor has communicated with the College’s international students and will continue to work with each student individually to ensure they are enrolled in the appropriate number of face-to-face courses to remain an active student.
We value our international students and the diverse perspectives they bring the campus community. Hiram has a strong history of welcoming international students to campus and we are committed to continue that history and provide a high-quality education for all our students.
The Office for International Student Services is located in Hinsdale Hall 205-5. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
