Safety and security are imperative these days. The Hiram College Office of Campus Safety is here to ensure students, faculty, staff and guests are as safe as possible and secure in a professional and courteous fashion. We’re located on the second floor of the Kennedy Center.
The Office of Events and Conferencing at Hiram College offers on-site, logistical planning and support to event organizers as well as meeting space on our historic campus. Events and Conferencing staff take care in ensuring your event is coordinated to meet your unique needs. The Office of Events and Conferencing can provide you with the space and support for a wide variety of events, from single-day gatherings to multi-day events.
The plentiful events on campus are often driven by student, staff, and faculty imagination. However, if you're looking for adventure off-campus, there are plenty of areas to visit in the local area, too. Explore just a few of the local inns, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
The benefits of living on campus are numerous: opportunities to participate in a close-knit residential community; immediate access to classes, student activities, and campus events; ability to meet classmates or faculty for spontaneous group work, informal study sessions, or just hanging out; a structured venue to experience group living, communal norms, and shared responsibility; and many more. Our financial aid packages make residential life a viable option for students. So it is our hope that you will live on campus and fondly call one of our many residence halls your “home away from home.”
Hiram College offers students endless opportunities to get involved and engaged in campus life. Our close-knit community allows students many opportunities to join clubs and organizations, or start their own!
The Office of Community Service supports Hiram College's commitment of developing socially responsible and ethical citizens through integrating meaningful community service with coursework and reflection to enrich learning, teach civic responsibility, and support communities.
Hiram College has a number of resources to make your time on campus a positive one. If you can't find the assistance you need on our website, please reach out to our team at 330.569.5233.
Within the Office of Student Life, we offer several support functions, services and opportunities for students of diverse backgrounds.
The Student Affairs and Athletic staff provide students with opportunities for development through quality services and programs focused on individual student needs. These program and services are meant to foster success and persistence. It is our goal to challenge and support students to make connections between learning (inside the classroom) and practical experience (outside the classroom). Whether it is laboratory work, community service, an internship, a study away trip, campus work study, service learning, student activities or an independent study, all of these experiences are tools students can use to make liberal learning relevant and practical. These activities are particularly important for today’s learners who will become tomorrow’s leaders.
