Hiram College prides itself on offering students the opportunity to participate in Division III sports while earning a prestigious liberal arts degree. The College encourages students to be well-rounded on and off the field, and values both academics and healthy competition.

A rich tradition

The Terriers participate in NCAA’s Division III and the North Coast Athletic Conference. Men’s sports include baseball, basketball, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, and volleyball. Women’s sports include basketball, cheer/stunt, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, and volleyball.

Hiram College athletics date back to the late 1800’s and have a strong history of competition. The Hiram College basketball team won the gold medal in the collegiate division of the 1904 Summer Olympics in St. Louis. It was the first time that basketball was part of an Olympics.

Hiram was also home to the Cleveland Browns training camp from 1952 through 1974, making it the longest-tenured training site in the team’s history.
