President Lori Varlotta took some time to visit with President Franco Pavoncello of John Cabot University on October 9 during her recent trip to Rome, Italy.
Dr. Varlotta shared an update on Hiram College and its evolution to The New Liberal Arts. The two explored ways to renew their commitment to collaboration, mutual support, and the promotion of high-impact exchanges for students and faculty that elevate their liberal arts education.
John Cabot was founded in 1972 and soon established an affiliation with Hiram College that lasted until 1996 when JCU became an independent university.
Franco Pavoncello, president of John Cabot University said, “It was a great honor and pleasure to welcome President Varlotta to JCU. For over two decades, John Cabot was affiliated with Hiram, and the College’s constant support was vital for our growth and success in our first years. We look forward to our future collaboration for the benefit of our two communities.”
