Political Science and Performing Arts Major

As a woman of many passions, Jade Mongold chose to follow in her sisters’ footsteps of attending Hiram because the College afforded her the opportunity to pursue both her passions for theatre and political science and law.

Jade is passionate about finding the intersections between her majors in performing arts and political science, which is what led her to her favorite class, Quilting for Social Justice. “It was the perfect in between point for my two majors,” Jade said.

She was also a well-rounded student in her extra-curricular activities having been involved in Student Senate, Alpha Zeta Theta, Student Ambassadors, Theatre Guild, and working as a writing assistant.  After Hiram, Jade hopes to pursue a law degree focusing on civil rights.

Jade’s advice for prospective students: “Hiram is a place where your experience is what you make of it. You can try anything—no matter what you study—so don’t be afraid to join in!”
