Employment Opportunities

Students have opportunities to be employed on campus through both work study and non-work study employment. At the beginning of each academic year, students can attend the Student Job Fair to apply for and get information about campus jobs.

Work study is run through the Financial Aid office, and both types of jobs, including some off campus in the surrounding area, are posted on Student Job Central (on portal under the student tab).

The following departments regularly employ student workers:

  • Physical Plant
  • Community Service Agencies
  • Media Center
  • Study Abroad
  • Student Life
  • Education Department
  • Admissions
  • Financial Aid
  • Dining Services
  • Computer Center
  • Field Station
  • Special Events Office
  • Bookstore

The Career Development department also assists students with employment throughout their time at Hiram. Their website contains information about internship suggestions for various majors, as well as access to Handshake, where outside employers post jobs for Hiram students.
