The Integrated Major
Hiram has a deep-rooted history of including interdisciplinary courses in its curriculum, aimed at helping students make connections between ideas and concepts across different disciplines, with the goal of deepening their learning experiences.
Students learn how the theories and methods from a related major can shed fresh insight on a topic or issue they’re exploring in their own majors, allowing them to not only develop a deep understanding of concepts within their school, but also across other schools. This integrated approach remains throughout the duration of their academic journey at Hiram.
Students can choose from 29 majors and 37 minors offered in our five schools:
- Arts, Humanities & Culture
- Scarborough School of Business & Communication
- Education, Civic Leadership, & Social Change
- Health & Medical Humanities
- Science & Technology
