Istanbul Aydin University with its 11 faculty, 3 post-graduate institutes, 1 school of foreign languages, 3 professional vocational schools and 25 research centers is located right in the center of the magnificent city of Istanbul.

Istanbul Aydin University is the first foundation vocational school of Istanbul founded in 2003 as Anadolu BIL Vocational School directly depending on the Board of higher education with the aim of training a qualified labor force sought after on the national and international level by the Education and Cultural Foundation of Anatolia (AKEV). In 2007, by completing its establishment, Istanbul Aydin University took its place in higher education with eight faculty, one graduate school, two vocational schools and two institutes.

Istanbul Aydin University is still active at its Florya and Bahçelievler Campuses in a wide range of disciplines with a modern education environment to train the labor force that our era requires. In some of its departments the educational language is English. It consists of equipped and experienced instructors with the strongest academic and professional knowledge in Turkey.

The principle of Istanbul Aydin University is to educate its students as leaders, big wheels equipped with contemporary values who have gained the ability to think critically and ethically towards self-improvement.

Istanbul Aydin University is increasing the emphasis on personal development and professional skills in addition to academic education and tries to prepare its students to be fully equipped for the world of the future by close cooperation with sectors, hands-on training, international relations, and the supporting of certificate programs within the scope of the international diploma programs.

Hiram students who would like to apply as an exchange student to Istanbul Aydin University may apply through the Study Away Office by completing the exchange application and making an appointment in the Kennedy Center (first floor).

Fees and Tuition:  Students participating in the exchange, pay tuition to their home institution. All other costs and fees are the responsibility of the student and should be paid to various vendors or college/university.

Istanbul Aydin University students who would like to apply as an exchange student to Hiram College must contact Nicole Gatrell (gatrellnr@hiram.edu), listing your name as it appears on your passport, date of birth, and country of residence, when you would like to attend, your current class status (freshman, sophomore, junior), and area of interest.  They must also apply using our web form at http://www.hiram.edu/admission/international-students/exchange-modern-language-foreign-teaching-assistants.
