His project is to “measure the weak nuclear force of the proton by accelerating protons and smashing them into (i think) a quartz target. After the particle hits the target it scatters and enters a magnetic field and gets bent into the detector.”

Alan Stevens Obtained a degree in Motorsports Engineering at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is now works for the Schaeffler Group as a Lean Manufacturing Manager, North American Region. This is a corporate level position implementing lean manufacturing in 13 plants in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Peter Tupa Completed a Ph.D. in physics at Lehigh University. He currently holds a visiting Lecturer position in Mathematics at Indiana University Kokomo.
