Hiram College

Amplify Your Skills

All students on Hiram's campus can take music lessons. Lessons can be taken in vocal, instrumental, composition, and conducting focuses. A variety of visiting, adjunct, and full-time professors instruct in lessons so that we can make sure you learn from trained experts.

One-credit lessons cost $250 a semester.

However, Performing Arts majors as well as students enrolled in Hiram College ensembles can apply for one free lesson per semester.

Performing Arts majors take lessons for two credits, while all other students on campus take lessons for one credit. Each hour of credit equals a thirty minute lesson once a week for the 12-week semester.

Students can engage in voice, conducting, or composition lessons, or choose from a variety of instrumental lessons.

Current Instrumental Lesson Offerings Include:

Bassoon, Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Euphonium, Flute, French Horn, Guitar, Harp, Oboe, Percussion, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone, Tuba, Viola, and Violin.
