Major and Minor Options

Crime, Law, and Justice students have the option of pursuing a major or a minor in the department to help meet their future career goals.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  1. describe and communicate (oral and written) the foundations of the U.S. legal system
  2. articulate how social, political, economic, and cultural factors influence crime, law, and justice
  3. comprehend and analyze theoretical issues related to crime, law, and justice
  4. speak and write clearly for professional settings
  5. articulate ethical, logical, and persuasive arguments gleaned from multiple disciplinary perspectives
  6. apply learning to areas such as law enforcement, the courts, diversity, inequality, and juvenile delinquency
