Emerging Writers Workshop June 15 – June 17, 2023

The first applicants to complete the registration process in its entirety and submit their full payment will be considered for acceptance. Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost:

Day Only Option (9:00-5:00 Thursday & Friday, 9:00-12:30 Saturday)

  • Early bird rate: $180 (if registered and paid in full by May 1)
  • Regular rate: $200 (if registered and paid in full between May 1 and June 1)

Overnight Option (includes room & board)

  • Early bird rate: $400 (if registered and paid in full by May 1)
  • Regular rate: $425 (if registered and paid in full between May 1 and June 1)

$50 non-refundable deposit (the deposit will be applied toward the entire registration fee or full amount can be paid at time of application)

500-word Creative Writing Sample – Registrants are asked to attach a 500-word creative writing sample with their registration. Students may include a short piece in its entirety or an excerpt from a longer work, provided they remain within the 500-word limit. The sample should be prose fiction or nonfiction; no poetry samples will be accepted.

Notification of Acceptance

Once students have registered and paid the deposit, their registration materials will be reviewed by the faculty leading the workshop. As soon as a student has been approved, Kathy Luschek will send out an email notifying the student that they have been accepted to attend. Full payment of workshop fees must be made by June 1.

Cost and Payment Arrangements

Pay only – If you have already registered and paid the $50 deposit and are returning to pay the remaining cost of the workshop, please click pay only to be directed to the payment screen.

Refund Policy

Full payment must be received by June 1, or student will be withdrawn from the workshop. Students who withdraw at least one week prior to the workshop will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be made after that date.
