Optional Donation
If you would like to add a donation to the Center for Literature and Medicine to your registration fee, you are welcome to place a higher amount in the payment amount field on the online payment form. Your donation will be used to support Center programming and offset symposium registration costs for students and others with financial need.
If you would prefer to donate directly to the Carol Donley Endowed Scholarship fund for Hiram College Biomedical Humanities majors, you may do so here. Select “Carol Donley Endowed Scholarship” from the Designation dropdown menu.
Meals
Lunch, snacks, and dinner (including wine/beer options) will be provided on both Friday and Saturday. Please indicate which meals you will be attending, and list any dietary needs on the registration form (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free).
Access
Please make us aware of individual access needs (e.g. mobility, hearing, visual, sensory) on the registration form. While we strive for universal accessibility, the physical space of our campus can present challenges, and advance notice will help us work best to meet your needs.
Travel and Lodging
Hiram College is equidistant (a 45-minute drive) from the Cleveland-Hopkins (CLE) and Akron-Canton (CAK) airports. Uber and Lyft services from either airport to the Aurora/Hiram area are typically in the range of $50. The Aurora Inn, ten miles down the road from campus, will offer a special rate of $109/night for symposium attendees. Call (330) 562-0767 and ask for the Hiram College event rate. Complimentary shuttle service from the Aurora Inn to campus will be provided both Friday and Saturday. Please note whether you require shuttle service on the registration form.
