Authorized and appointed by the College’s Board of Trustees, the Board of Visitors serves as an advisory and resource body and as a “window to the world” to enable Hiram College to learn how its plans and programs are perceived by its various publics. The Board provides advice and guidance to the President and the College’s administrators, and reports its activities to the College’s Board of Trustees on a regular basis. Visitors’ terms are two years in length, running from July through June. A maximum of three consecutive terms (six years) is allowed. A Chair of the Board is appointed from the membership to serve two year terms.
