WITHDRAWAL AND READMISSION

Withdrawal Information

Students who are considering withdrawing should consider all options available to them.

Incident Reports

An incident report is a form you fill out when something unusual, unsafe, or against school rules happens on campus. It’s a way to let the College know what happened so they can keep everyone safe and follow up if needed. If you want to report an incident or share your concerns about a student, please consider submitting an Incident Report. You can learn more about the Incident Report process here.

Student Complaints

A student complaint form is a way for you to formally tell the College that you have a concern about something, such as an issue with campus services, a particular campus office, or a course. It helps the College understand your concern and address it. If you have a complaint, issue, or concern that might be addressed prior to withdrawal, please consider submitting a Student Complaint Form. You can learn more about the Student Complaint process here.

Voluntary Withdrawal Form

If you plan to withdraw from the College, you must complete the Online Exit Survey as part of the formal withdrawal process. This survey helps us understand your experience and ensures that your withdrawal is processed correctly. Your withdrawal will not be official until the survey is submitted.

If you have decided to withdraw from Hiram College, we have outlined the steps below:

  1. Complete this online exit interview survey.
  2. Please contact Financial Aid at financialaid@hiram.edu, 330.569.5107, or stop by Financial Aid, located in Teachout Price to let them know you will be withdrawing. Continue to Step 3 after hearing back from Financial Aid.
  3. Read through the withdrawal refund policy. If you have questions about your refund, please contact Student Accounts at studentaccounts@hiram.edu, 330.569.5301, located in Teachout Price. Continue to Step 4.
  4. Contact Technology Services at helpdesk@hiram.edu or 330.569.6040 concerning returning your iPad device bundle.
  5. Properly check out of your residence hall, if applicable. The Residential Education office can be reached at residencelife@hiram.edu, 330.569.5232.

Important Note: Your Hiram account will be restricted after 30 days following the end of term. Please remove all important correspondences, contacts, files in OneDrive, and any other material you’d like to maintain from your Hiram account. Please contact the I.T. Help Desk with any questions regarding this process at helpdesk@hiram.edu or 330.569.5313.

Readmission

All students who wish to return to Hiram College after being withdrawn must apply for readmission. The readmission procedures must be completed prior to the beginning of the term for which the student has applied. Students who wish to be readmitted may call the Registrar’s office at 330.569.5210 or email registrar@hiram.edu. If the student was dismissed for academic reasons, the student must follow the procedures for readmission after suspension.
