Lesley Jenike received her M.F.A. from The Ohio State University in 2003 and her Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 2008. Her poems have appeared in “Poetry,” “The Southern Review,” “The Gettysburg Review,” “Rattle,” “Smartish Pace,” “Birmingham Poetry Journal,” “Gulf Coast” and many other literary magazines. Her first collection, “Ghost of Fashion,” was published by CW Books in 2009 and her second, “Holy Island,” was published by Gold Wake Press in 2014. She’s been the recipient of scholarships and fellowships from The Ohio Arts Council, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, the Vermont Studio Center and the Sewannee Writers’ Conference, and she was recently awarded the Teaching Excellence Award from the Columbus College of Art and Design where she serves as head of the English and Philosophy Department.
