Getting to the Field Station

The James H. Barrow field station is located on Wheeler Road between Garrettsville and Hiram and is a short drive from campus.
The field station consists of a 380-acre parcel of land, with 150 acres of beech-maple forest, a cold-water stream, two ponds, old fields of varying ages, young forests, crop fields, a two-mile interpretive nature trail, a waterfowl observation building, and a newly renovated, state-of-the-art lab building.
