Following are examples of recent off-campus internships held by Hiram students.
- A political science major spent a semester in the West Wing of The White House in the event management department.
- An art history major spent a summer in Washington, D.C., as a programming assistant at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
- A biology major spent a summer as a research intern with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
- A communication major was a promotions intern at WKYC TV in Cleveland.
- An ecological artistry major spent a summer as a horticulture intern at the Bronx Zoo.
- A political science major spent 15 weeks in the Washington office of Representative Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio).
- A psychobiology major interned in the Emergency Room of Robinson Memorial Hospital near Cleveland.
- A psychology major interned at the Children's Defense Fund with the U.S. Committee for Refugees in Washington, D.C.
