Teachout-Price: Admission Office and Nursing Program

Teachout-Price has grown, added and subtracted parts, nearly been destroyed, housed an observatory, and changed tenants many times.

The original Teachout-Cooley Library of Hiram College was erected in 1900 with money given by Abram Teachout. The building was largely destroyed by fire in 1939. A newer, more modern building was erected in its place. In 1963, the Library was significantly expanded through a substantial gift from Harley C. and Mary Hoover Price. The Library was then renamed the Teachout-Price Memorial Library.

In 1995, the Hiram College Library moved into a new building across campus. Today, Teachout-Price is home to the Admission Office, College Relations, Dray Computer Center, and the Nursing program.
