Art for Older Kids
June 10-14, 2013 from 1-3 p.m.
Kids entering grades 6-9 who want to continue to refine their skills and explore new materials will enjoy this camp. We will make sketchbooks and our own custom pens to use in them, paint pillowcases to take home, work on portraits and study surrealism. Participants should bring a bag of "junk" to build a junk bug and a photo of a person's head for portrait drawing. Camp will culminate in an art show on the last day.
Location: Gelbke Art Building, Hiram College
Instructor: Libby Frato-Sweeney, Garrettsville Art Teacher, Hiram College students
