Welcome to Science Reads, a community reading program for Northeast Ohio. The Lindsay-Crane Center for Writing and Literature and the Center for Deciphering Life's Languages at Hiram College are proud to present a month of free public readings, lectures, book discussions and hands-on events connected to Paul Greenberg's Four Fish. Embrace fish this February on Hiram College's campus and at local libraries!
Four Fish is a wonderfully readable look at the changing role of fish in our diets and environment. It explores the impact of the four fish--salmon, sea bass, cod, and tuna--that have become a staple of western cuisine. Greenberg examines overfishing, habitat change, genetic shifts, and a declining economy to keep us moving forward to a sustainable ocean.
