FALL COLOR TREK to celebrate the James H. Barrow Field Station’s 50th Anniversary!

Join the fun from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Fall Color Trek at the James H. Barrow Field Station, 11305 Wheeler Road, Garrettsville, Ohio. Shuttles will run from the Kennedy Center starting at 9:45 a.m.

Enjoy the beautiful fall colors as you trek along the Ruth E. Kennedy Memorial Nature Trail (students, in your high-tech Vasque hiking boots!), visit our interactive learning stations, and compose your very own nature journal. There’s so much to do!

  • Bird watching
  • Electrofishing demonstrations
  • Face painting and fairy house building
  • Grassland restoration information
  • Live animal displays and animals to touch
  • Nature artifacts
  • Snake boards
  • Tree identification
  • Wetland quality water testing demonstrations
  • And more!

Plus, live music with composer, lyricist, and naturalist Sam Sapp.
