Welcome Back! We are so excited to begin the 2016-2017 academic year. Before you plan to arrive on campus for the Fall 2016 semester, please review the following list of items which must be completed before you are permitted to return. Only those students who are cleared will be able to enjoy our “Express Check-In”service in August. If you have any questions about any of the areas mentioned below, please don’t hesitate to contact them.
Only those students who have received an express check-in post card may arrive on Saturday, August 27 between noon-6 p.m. at the Residential Education Office in BATES Hall. Keys are only available at BATES Hall. All remaining students may check-in on Sunday, August 28 between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Residential Education Office located in BATES Hall. Please be aware keys will not be available until student is in a “cleared” status. You can check your status starting August 1st at my.hiram.edu by clicking on Hiram College Portal, then selecting Student Portal and clicking on “Am I Cleared to Attend.” Please check your status before arriving.
Note: Early Arrival Requests are only accepted online at https://hiram.wufoo.com/forms/early-arrival-registration-2016/ and must be submitted by August 5th (form is now closed) to be considered for approval. Charges for rooms may be required. Students who are part of a team/group will be registered by the designated coach/group advisor and do not need to register individually.
Other important information:
“First Wave” students (students approved to move in before August 27) who are “cleared” MUST come to the location designated below to pick up check-in packets (includes keys for students residing in the residence halls). Each group has been assigned an arrival time. Please do not arrive before the assigned times. These groups include:

Townhouse residents may check in during normal business hours of the Residential Education Office
(Mon – Fri, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) starting August 10.
NOTE: All townhouse residents MUST have proof of renter’s insurance on file before receiving keys.
