Set in the picturesque campus of Hiram College, this resort-style living is enhanced by intellectual and social pursuits.
For more than seven years, alumni, friends and faculty encouraged Hiram College to consider sponsoring a retirement community in Hiram, Ohio. Tom Chema, President of Hiram College, saw the benefits of an integrated senior community to enhance the sociological and health advantages of the people who lived there, while providing an enriched educational experience for Hiram students.
Unlike most other university-affiliated communities, The Reserves at Hiram College is truly integrated into the fabric of Hiram College. Hiram College has been an active participant in the development, providing incredible value from social to educational opportunities and interaction.
In this partnership, residents of The Reserves are treated the same as the student body of Hiram College. Any events that are free to students are free to The Reserves Residents. Any events chargeable to the students carry the same charge to The Reserves Residents. Hiram College will provide intellectual opportunities to over 100 events and activities per year. Residents can attend (audit) classes on a space-available basis.
