Nursing at Hiram

Admission and progression policies

Hiram College reviews nursing program applicants in a holistic manner. A professional, and often a committee, reads each file individually. As with all of Hiram’s successful applicants, reviewers look for a record of demonstrating better-than-average to superior academic attainment in the college preparatory core curriculum.

Many nursing courses have a didactic and a clinical, or laboratory component. Students must satisfactorily complete both the didactic and the clinical components of the course. An unsatisfactory grade in the clinical component will result in failure of the course.
