Progression to the junior nursing sequence
Many nursing courses have a didactic and a clinical, or laboratory component. Students must satisfactorily complete both components of the course. An unsatisfactory grade in the clinical component will result in failure of the course.
A student must meet the following requirements:
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 each semester to continue in clinical nursing courses
- Successful completion of all science course requirements with a minimum grade of C (2.0)
- A minimum grade of C (2.0) in each sophomore nursing course
- NURS 101: Introduction to Professional Nursing I is generally completed prior to entry into the nursing clinical sequence, but must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or higher to enroll in any junior-level nursing course
