Much of the vitality of a college is reflected in its music program. The array of ensembles and solo performers, along with the number and variety of concerts and recitals, is a measure of the importance of music to the college, the kinds of students it enrolls, the commitment to their music and the enthusiasm they have for sharing it with the whole community.
At Hiram, music is everywhere for everyone! Walk across campus, mornings or evenings, weekdays or weekends and you will hear music pouring from the practice rooms and Recital Hall in the Frohring Music Building. Student and faculty recitals, visiting performers and the College's major performing ensembles contribute to a lively cultural life on Hiram's campus. The Department of Music brings together a diversity of students, faculty and community members who find great pleasure in the creative process of making music or enjoyment and appreciation of music as audience members.
