Hiram College has a unique academic schedule which allows our faculty to lead field courses off campus within the United States. Many of our faculty have taught courses in Alaska, the Southwest, Florida, and the Great Smoky Mountains.
Marine Ecology
The program includes studies dealing with marine organisims, including Black Horn Snails, Mangrove Periwinkle Snails, common marine birds, and common marine vegetation. |

This Study Abroad program focuses on the natural history of the Galapagos Islands, which figure prominently in the writing of Charles Darwin. |
Biomes of the World
Biomes of the World is and innovative, integrated 12-week academic experience in which participants study in selected terrestrial, freshwater, marine and human-dominated biomes, ecological units that are correlated with responses to regional climate types and life-form responses.
