Year/Major: Class of 2014, Nursing

Hometown: San Francisco, California

Favorite thing about Hiram: I love everything about Hiram, but it’s the core group of faculty and students that makes the difference for me.

HI! I'm a third year nursing student at Hiram College, and an RA on 2nd Peckham. Hiram has lots of opportunities to get involved with leadership on campus, and I've tried to take advantage of that as much as possible! Currently, I'm president of Hiram's student nurses association, and we've hosted events including Be the Match campaign and community service project. My passions vary, but I love working on international health projects and have worked on multiple projects focusing on HIV and AIDS outreach on an international level.

Year/Major: Class of 2013, Management

Hometown: Mentor, Ohio

Favorite thing about Hiram: My favorite thing about Hiram is the people and community that is present here. The one on one relationships you build with your Professors are unlike any other college and it really becomes a huge part of your college career. The people at Hiram are like a close knit family where you are known for who YOU. I wouldn't trade my experience at Hiram for the world; I am so grateful for the people I have met here, the professors I have built relationships with, all the things I have accomplished here and the endless possibilities that are present for anybody!

I am a Senior Management major after transferring in from Kent State University after my Freshman year. After graduation, I will be working for Quicken Loans Mortgage and Banking in Cleveland, OH. I have also been a part of the Hiram College Women's Terrier Soccer Varsity Team for 3 years now and was appointed Team Captain during the 2012/2013 season. Senior year is my only year of being an RA, however I wish I realized I wanted to do this a lot earlier!

Year/Major: Class of 2015, Integrated Middle Childhood Education in Science and Social Studies

Hometown: Bainbridge, Ohio

Favorite thing about Hiram: My favorite things about Hiram are the squirrels, and maybe the awesome people. Everyone here is so friendly, encouraging and excited for you to succeed! But seriously the squirrels are hilarious!

I am an Education major, focusing on middle school science and social studies. I grew up in Bainbridge, Ohio not to far from Hiram! I have been swimming since I was very young and I swam on the Hiram team in 2011/2012. I have love helping people and the outdoors. I have been on 4 trips to help build homes in places like Vermont, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Chicago. I have also been on 6 backpacking trips in the Rocky Mountains, as well as camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I love being an RA, my residents are awesome and I love every chance that I get to be a part of their life here at Hiram!

Year/Major: Class of 2014, Management

Hometown: Jefferson, Ohio

Favorite thing about Hiram: The people. I've met some truly amazing people and formed relationships that I hope will remain intact long after I leave.

I am a 21 year-old Management major from Jefferson, Ohio. I enjoy pretty much any form of physical activity and love warm weather. My number one goal is to relocate to a warmer state in the future. I'll never pass up an opportunity to hang out with my best friends and play a nice card game or just chill and do nothing.

Year/Major: Class of 2013, Management

Hometown: Willowick, Ohio

Favorite thing about Hiram: My favorite thing about Hiram is the size of the school. It’s nice having a small school because it’s a two minute walk to class every day and it's also a privilege being able to know everyone on campus. To me that makes school a lot easier because it’s easy to make friends and maintain those friendships for the four years that you are here.

I am from Willowick, Ohio which is in the northeastern part of the state. I am currently a senior management major with a minor in entrepreneurship. When I'm not doing homework or class work, I like to hangout with friends, go to movies, and try to relax as much as possible. I am also on the senior captain on the baseball team and will be lettering for my 4th year.

Year/Major: Class of 2014, Biomedical Humanities

Hometown: Mentor, Ohio

Favorite thing about Hiram: I can't name my favorite thing about Hiram, because I have so many favorites! I love the 12-week 3-week semesters, the small class sizes and incredibly amazing teachers who you can call by the first names (most of them), the students, the activities and programs, the study abroad programs, the IF show, Springfest, being a role model on campus, and feeling accepted and encouraged to reach my goals from everyone on campus.

I am a Biomedical Humanities major as well as Spanish and Chemistry minors. I am the President of Terrier Actions for Smart Choices, Secretary of the Biomedical Humanities Student Association, member of the Hiram College Chemistry Club, member of the Delta Chi Lambda Greek Club, and a former New Student Orientation Leader and lastly a Spanish tutor. I love to host floor programs and get students involved in the community. I enjoy baking, spending time with family and friends, running, volleyball, and attending speech's made by different speakers on campus.

Year/Major: Class of 2014, Religious Studies & Spanish

Hometown: Girard, Ohio

Favorite thing about Hiram: I really love how easy it is to study abroad with Hiram College! They offer a wide range of options for where to go, when to go, and how to pay for it too. I went to a small South Asian country called Bhutan to study Buddhism and the economics of the country during the Spring 3-week when I was a Sophomore. My experiences will surely last a lifetime, and I encourage everyone who attends Hiram to study abroad at least once if they get the chance!

Hi, my name is Dave Stonebraker and I'm a Junior at Hiram College majoring in Religious Studies and Spanish. I really love my majors, each department is composed of a team of 3 to 4 outstanding professors who do all they can to help you succeed! Besides my academic life, I am EXTREMELY involved in many different activities on campus. In addition to being an RA, I am the General Manager of Hiram's own Vegetarian Co-operative, President of Disciples On Campus, Vice-President of Greek Council, Treasurer of Phi Gamma Epsilon as well as Hiram Men's Rugby Club, one of Hiram College's Student Ambassadors, a member of the Jazz and Wind ensembles, and a student worker in both the Admissions office and the Alumni Relations office. A lot of my free time is taken up by these extra-curriculars, but they definitely give me a sense of fulfillment within my college experience! And these are just SOME of the many different jobs/student organizations that Hiram has to offer. In my spare time, I love to take advantage of the local ski slopes, play racquetball in the Coleman Center, or just check out what's new in Hiram. Luckily, most of my friends also participate in at least one of those extra-curriculars, so I can hang out with my friends while being involved on campus at the same time!
