Welcome to the Booth/Centennial (BC) basics. We house 210 residents in two buildings- Booth (left) which is co-ed and Centennial (right) which is all female. These two buildings share many commonalities, yet have some unique differences as well. Booth is comprised of three floors; ground booth is an all-male first-year floor, the first floor is co-ed by room, and the second floor is co-ed by wing. Booth is also home to a series of ADA rooms, one quad for men, two singles, a ground floor lounge, vending, laundry and a clubroom. All the furniture in Booth is loftable- so no need to bring yours from home. All rooms contain a desk, dresser, and an ethernet port per person. There is also a closet and phone jack in each room.
Centennial by contrast is the only all-female hall on campus. Centennial houses 110 women in a variety of rooms. Besides the standard double, we have two quad rooms, three triples, and five singles. All rooms contain a desk, dresser, and Ethernet port per person. All beds are bunkable and there are a few loftable beds as well. There is also a closet and phone jack in each room, a ground floor lounge, a new 24 hr. quiet study lounge on the second floor and laundry. Some other special features of BC are a central office located in between the two buildings, two common area recreation/study lounges (BC and Fenton), and the BC lawn.
Fenton is a great area for hall programs, as well as meeting space for groups across campus. The BC lawn is used for everything from studying, to rugby practice to games of ultimate Frisbee. BC is also home to the Stone Soup Co-op. This is a dining option for vegetarian meals. Members of the Co-op plan, cook, and serve their own meals. They are responsible for all aspects of their dining experience, instead of eating in the dining hall. The residents of BC are welcoming and enjoy the diversity of their occupants as well as the 12 hour quiet hours. They share the pleasure of being central to academics, athletics, and dining. If this is what you are looking for in a living environment- consider BC.
