The Hiram College women’s swimming & diving team fell at Oberlin by a 144-71 score of Friday evening.
The Terriers see their record fall to 0-2 and 0-1 in the NCAC, while the Yeowomen improve to 1-0, 1-0.
Freshman Jenni Heid (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) led Hiram with a first place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching in 1:15.71. Senior Kailey Saywell (Kirkland) finished right behind in second place with a time of 1:31.67.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of senior Emily Anderson (Morgantown, W. Va./University), junior Rachel Patten (Castalia/Margaretta), junior Alaina Seguin (Canton/Canton South) and freshman Alyssa Fults (Lakes/Perry) touched first in 2:17.83.
Junior Megan McBratnie (Berley, Mich.) finished second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 110.18.
Patten was third in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:02.60 and was third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:07.02.
Hiram will compete again on November 7, when it hosts Malone and Urseline in a tri-match at 6 p.m.
