The Hiram College women’s swimming & diving team dropped a non-conference meet at John Carroll 163-62 on Friday evening.

The Terriers fall to 3-9 on the season, while the Blue Streaks push their record to 6-2.

Freshman Jenni Heid (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) touched second in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.64 and senior Samantha Polmanteer (Berkley, Mich.) earned a second place finish in the 1-meter diving with a score of 144.45

In the 400-yard I.M., junior Rachel Patten (Castalia/Margaretta) was third and junior Marian Bade (Macungie, Pa./The Perkiomen School) finished fourth in 5:26.07 and 5:45.20, respectively.

Patten also finished third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:12.60 and Bade was fourth in 1:17.39.

Heid and Patten also teamed up with senior Rebecca Wright (New Carlisle/Northwestern Local) and sophomore Emily Kelly (North Royalton) for a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:08.82.

Hiram will return to action on Saturday, when it hosts both Franciscan and Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) at 1 p.m. The Terriers will also honor their seniors during the meet.
