WOOSTER, OHIO — The Hiram College women’s golf team finished in fifth place after the final round of The College of Wooster Invitational today (Sunday, Apr. 24) at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster. [FINAL Results]
Hiram shot a team total of 450 strokes on the final day to finish with a tournament total of 909 strokes (459+450=909) to place fifth overall of six teams. Allegheny (Pa.) College won the event with a total of 670 strokes (339+331=670). Wittenberg University was second at 720 strokes (357+363=720) and host school Wooster finished third at 825 strokes (401+424=825).
Individually for Hiram, junior Kritsinee Khowcharoen (Muang, Phitsanulok, Thailand/Fryeburg Academy, Maine) led the Terriers with a final round 87 and posted a two-day total of 176 stroks (89+87=176) and placed in a tied for fifth overall. Junior Amelia Mount (Strongsville/Padua) was second with 229 strokes (113+116=229) and was followed by senior Sasha Davidson (East Hampton, Conn./East Hampton) in third at 244 strokes (125+119=244). Rounding out the Hiram competitors was senior Jess Cowan (Hiram/Crestwood) who shot a tournament total of 260 strokes (132+128=260).
Hiram will host the Hiram Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, Apr. 30-May 1 at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course in Chesterland.
