Hiram College women’s basketball player Alexis Kemper (Centerville) has been named this week’s North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Kemper helped lead the Terriers to a pair of victories this past week with wins against Heidelberg University and Bethany (W.Va.) College. Hiram is now 5-5 overall with the two wins.
Individually, Kemper started both games and averaged 14.5 points per game while shooting 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the field. She was also the team’s top three-point shooter converting four-of-five attempts (80.0 percent). In addition, Kemper grabbed four rebounds, had three assists and a pair of blocked shots.
For the season, Kemper is currently third on the team in scoring with a 7.1 ppg. average. She is second on the team in shooting percentage at 41.8 percent (28-of-67) and is also second in blocked shots with five. Kemper is also averaging 2.5 rebounds per game to go along with a 16 assists and six steals.
Hiram will be idle until Saturday, Dec. 29 when the Terriers host Marietta College in a non-conference game at Price Gymnasium. The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
