Hiram College

Hiram ranked 67th out of 254 institutions in the annual ranking of liberal arts colleges by “Washington Monthly” Magazine.

Unlike other college rankings, the Washington Monthly rates schools based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: Social Mobility (recruiting and graduating low-income students), Research (producing cutting-edge scholarship and PhDs), and Service (encouraging students to give something back to their country).

Hiram scored highly overall in the three categories, and ranked 33rd in service staff and financial aid support in the service category, 58th in community service, participation and hours spent in service by students, and 77th in predicted and actual graduation rates, in the social mobility category.
