UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OHIO  —  The Hiram College volleyball team took a three-set victory against John Carroll University tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 8) in a non-conference match in University Heights.

With the win, the Terriers improve their record to 4-3 overall.  The Blue Streaks fall to 4-2 overall for the season.

In the first set, Hiram claimed a 25-17 win to take an early 1-0 overall match lead.  The second and third sets would be closely contested games, but it would be the Terriers who would prevail in both, winning both sets by the scores of 25-23 en route to the 3-0 straight-set victory.

Hiram will travel to Rochester, N.Y. to take part in the Nazareth University Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 10-11.  The Terriers will play a pair of matches each day beginning with a matchup against host school Nazareth on Friday at 2 p.m.  Hiram will then conclude the day with a match against Heidelberg University at 8 p.m.
