CLEVELAND, OHIO  —  Four members of the Hiram College volleyball team have been selected to the 2011 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Teams for their individual efforts this season.  Senior All-Region outside hitter Shaina Bryan (South Euclid/Brush) and senior middle hitter Kristi Opfer (Garrettsville/Garfield) were first-team selections.  Senior middle hitter Andrea Kaminsky (Canton/GlenOak) earned second-team accolades and senior outside hitter Megan Woodard (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) was named honorable mention.  [2011 All-NCAC Teams]

Hiram currently has a 26-8 overall record and made its 11th straight trip to the NCAC Tournament, including a 10th consecutive appearance in the title match.  The Terriers will also be making their fourth appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament which begins on Friday, Nov. 11.

Bryan repeats as a first-team selection and earns her third All-Conference Award overall.  She was also tabbed the 2010 NCAC Player of the Year.  This season, Bryan leads the team in kills with 342 (3.35 kills per set) and has a .304 hitting percentage which is third best on the team.  In addition, Bryan is amongst the team leaders in service aces with 22.  Defensively, she is second in digs with 300 (2.94 digs per set) and is third in total blocks with 53 (11 solo and 42 assists).

Opfer joins Bryan as a repeat first-team selection.  This also marks her third All-Conference award of her career (2010 first-team, 2009 second-team).  To date, Opfer is second on the team in kills with 270 (2.35 k/s) with a team-tying high .366 hitting percentage.  Opfer leads the team in service aces with 34 and is second on the squad in total blocks with 106 (11 solo and 95 assists).  Opfer has also tallied 77 digs (0.67 d/s) from her middle hitter position.

Kaminsky earns second-team accolades for the first time in her career and becomes a two-time All-NCAC honoree.  She was named honorable mention last season.  As a senior, Kaminsky has tallied 234 kills (2.09 k/s) and is tied with Opfer for the team-lead in hitting percentage at .366.  She also leads the team in total blocks with 113 (30 solo and 83 assists).  In addition, Kaminsky has recorded seven set assists and 11 digs (0.10 d/s).

Woodard earns her first All-NCAC award with her honorable mention selection.  So far this season, she has posted 162 kills (1.71 k/s) with a .290 hitting percentage.  She has also recorded 31 assists and 10 aces.  Defensively, Woodard is amongst the team leaders in blocks with 49 (six solo and 43 assists) in addition to 87 digs (0.92 d/s).

Hiram will face Stevenson on Friday, Nov. 11 in its regional of the NCAA Division III Tournament on the campus of Neumann University in Aston, Pa.
