The Hiram College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams recently earned a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team award for the 2013 spring semester.
The Terrier men posted a team grade point average of 3.11 and were one of 78 schools to be recognized. The Hiram women had a 3.21 team GPA and was amongst 136 schools to earn the academic honor.
The award honors teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.0 cumulative team GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Eight other schools from the North Coast Athletic Conference joined Hiram on the list of schools to earn men’s or women’s Scholar All-America Team honors including: Allegheny (Pa.) College, Oberlin College, The College of Wooster, Kenyon College, DePauw (Ind.) University, Wittenberg University, Denison University and Wabash (Ind.) College.
