Petar Besalev was selected as the 2007-2008 Hiram College Outstanding Student Employee of the Year. Besalev was nominated by Chris Klinger, user services manager at Dray Computer Center. Besalev is a senior double major in economics and accounting/financial management from Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Other students recognized include Joseph Moeller (Independence) who was nominated by Willa Schrlau and Matt Hils of the Biology Department, and Raechelle Speaker (Southington) who was nominated by Kathryn Craig of the Career Center. The students were awarded prizes graciously donated by the Admission Office, the Bookstore and the Financial Aid Office.
The awards were presented on Tuesday, April 8 to celebrate National Student Employee Week.
