Hiram’s chapter of the American Chemical Society received an honorable mention from the national ACS organization for its programming and activities during the 2010-2011 academic year.

The American Chemical Society is a prestigious distinction among undergraduate chemistry programs in the United States. Each year, it recognizes standout student chapters for their activities, programs and initiatives.

Assistant professor of chemistry Carol Shreiner was also praised as the adviser of the student organization.
