Emma Strong ’10, an environmental studies major from Pittsburgh, has won third place in the TransitionsAbroad.com 2010 Student Writing Contest for her entry, “Bhutan – Studying Economics, Environment, Religion, and the Self.”

TransitionsAbroad.com holds “the only student travel writing contest to cover studying, volunteering, interning, and working abroad,” according to its Web site. The winner earns $500 to share his or her student experience.
