Congratulations to the winners of the Barbara Thompson Award for short fiction, judged by Imad Rahman.

In first place ($500): “Mad” by Virginia Schminke ’10; second place ($300): “Birthday Cow” by Jake Maynard ’10; and third place ($200): “Waste” by John Price ’12. There are also several honorable mentions (book prize): “A Life Altering Dinner Announcement” by Chelsea Beabout ’13; “An Invention” by Rachael Purta ’12; and “Red” by Angela Miloro ’10.
